Adopting from Brixie’s is one of the best things you can do

.When you adopt from Brixie’s, you’re not just giving a cat or dog a second chance — you’re changing a life. Every adoption helps us rescue more animals in need and stand against neglect and irresponsible breeding practices. Together, we’re building a community that puts love and compassion before profit.

Meet Our Adoptable’s

  • A black puppy with white paws and a small white patch on its chest standing behind a wire fence, looking directly at the camera.

    Cullen

Cullen is a beautiful, gentle girl who has sadly been overlooked simply because she’s black — something we see far too often, despite these dogs being some of the most loving companions. Once you meet her, you quickly realize what everyone else has been missing.

She has a sweet, soulful personality and forms deep bonds with her people. Cullen may be a little shy at first, but with a little patience she opens up into an affectionate, loyal companion who just wants to be near you. She enjoys quiet moments, cozy spaces, and exploring the world at her own pace.

Buddy (Special Needs) URGENT (PENDING ADOPTION)

our sweet, almost 3-year-old Spaniel with a heart of gold!

Despite some back and hip tenderness, this cheerful boy doesn’t let anything slow him down. With the help of his meds and a little extra care, Buddy enjoys playtime, cuddles, and exploring the world around him.

He’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs — truly the perfect companion for any loving home. His foster has been amazing at helping him thrive with a diaper and belly band, and he continues to prove just how resilient and affectionate he is.

    Gamora

Gamora is a beautiful 40-lb Wheaten Terrier who came to us from Texas as a nursing mom. Before rescue, she endured abuse and neglect, leaving her fearful of strangers and unsure of the world around her.

Despite her past, Gamora is incredibly resilient. Her current foster has been working closely with her to build trust, understand boundaries, and learn that she is finally safe. Each day she opens up a little more and shows her gentle, sweet personality.

He’s great with other dogs, amazing with kids, and just wants to be part of the fun. Juicy Fruit loves to play, snuggle, and soak up all the love he can get.
