   Puppies with kennel cough, coronavirus, parasites, skin conditions, etc. require multiple vet visits — often $300–$1,000 over our basic care.

3. Fees help fund the ones who don’t get adopted right away.
   Seniors, medical cases, hospice pets, bottle babies, behavioral dogs & cats — THEY rely on our nonprofit to survive.

4. Good homes don’t look for “cheap dogs” — they look for support & care.
   Our adopters receive a contract, guidance, medical documentation, and help for life. That’s something stores & breeders do NOT provide.

For some Ohio adoptions, spay/neuter may be completed after adoption. We can refer adopters to Banfield Pet Hospital’s Wellness Plan, which significantly reduces the cost of spay/neuter and routine veterinary care.

Your adoption fee directly supports the care and rescue of animals in need.

These funds cover:

• Veterinary exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgeries

• Flea, tick, and worm preventatives

• Microchipping and transport costs

• Emergency medical treatments for neglected or injured animals

• You have a history of animal neglect, abuse, or frequent rehoming

• You are not of legal age (must be 21+)
